It's About Time!

So, here I am, lounging comfortably on my couch and working on my computer at the same time because I FINALLY purchased a computer. The lounging part comes in because I saved myself $200 by not purchasing a monitor. My TV is bigger than any monitor I've ever seen, and it has an HDMI port, so why not? Hello 32" of internet surfing power on 1 whole terabyte of harddrive space. If you can't tell, I'm totally geeking out over it. Computers sure have come a LONG way since I purchased my first lap top for $100 on eBay eight years ago. It was old and heavy, but it had notepad and paint, and that's all I needed at the time. Now look at me! I've got a laptop sitting over here, and my entertainment center is home to a Wii (and its accessories), a DVD player and about 20 DVDs and a computer tower connected straight into the flat screen. I feel so modern!

In other news, I've got this whole week off work. I just found this out on Sunday. My liquidity situation has me on a staycation, which I'm okay with because I need to get a LOT of stuff done. In fact, some of that stuff requires my immediate attention. Luckily, though, thanks to the new set up, it does not require that I move more than my finger tips. Technology is a beautiful thing.
