Are You Feeling Lucky?

I am an epic fail today. I left my house, got in my car and drove all the way out of my neighborhood before I realized that I'm not wearing any green. Unless the rubber band bracelet that's been on my wrist for the last three weeks and the peacock feather ring I happened to have in my purse count. Seeing as they're both green and I am no longer in elementary school, though, I'm going to say that they do!

In any case, I love St. Patty's Day for the same reasons that I love Mardi Gras and Cinco de Mayo, but also because it means I get to dye stuff funky colors. Behold: How awesome is that? These are my family's famous sour cream enchiladas, only the sauce has been dyed with neon green food coloring. Doesn't it just look awesome with the orange cheese? And they were, by general consensus at work, delicious as always.

I got really lucky this year in that St. Patty's Day fell on a Wednesday. That means I don't have to work tomorrow, which means that I'll be partying all night. It's too bad most of my friends don't have Thursdays off, but that's okay. I won't be partying alone, so don't even worry ;-) I can hardly wait for 4:30 to roll around so that I can get out of here. And, I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who is stoked about green beer! Behold, an actual conversation I had with a client today:

Me: Hello, Mr. So and So. How are you this morning?
Him: I'm a bit hungover, but I'm good.
Me: Well that's good then. Isn't it a little early to be hungover from St. Patrick's Day?
Him: Yeah, it is. I started a day early this year.
Me: That's awesome.

Professionalism? Not so much. Awesomeness? Uber!
