TGIF! (and I really mean that)

It is 9:30 a.m. on a Friday morning. I'm not 100% sure why I am awake, but I am, so I'm making the best of it by doing just whatever it is that strikes my fancy. I spent the last half hour watching No Doubt videos on YouTube (because Gwen freaking rocks, and she's really hot!). I probably aught to be doing homework, but I'm not. I am doing laundry, though, so at least I've been a little bit productive.

In any case. Seeing as I have the time, I figured I'd might as well add to my total productivity by blogging. I'm not going to get a chance to do it at work, because we've gone from "Who wants to go home early?" to "Can you come in over the weekend?" in the course of four days. Stupid Lehman Brothers. I know I shouldn't complain--I can now work overtime so that I can start making the real money. But you know, it's not pleasant to have people freaking out at you about their money all day long. So you lost $10K in three days, big deal! I don't even have $10K to start with! That's just how the market works, folks.

I am really looking forward to the weekend though. The weekends are the only time I get so spend with my husband and have a social life. Hopefully we'll do something fun. I'm pushing for Oktober Fest, since we didn't go last weekend.

Random fact: Today is the official Talk Like a Pirate day. I don't know why I continue to be surprised by that. It feels like just yesterday we were all laughing about the fact that there is an official Talk Like a Pirate day. Realizing it gives me the strangest urge to email my friend Doug...

So, if you ever get the chance to do just whatever strikes your fancy, I definitely recommend that you take advantage. And make a concerted effort to talk like a pirate today, seeing as today is the official day, saavey? Aaargh, matey!
