First things first. Last night I became the proud owner of a brand new iPhone!
Okay, it's not brand new. It's used, but that really doesn't make a difference to me. I'm pretty stoked about it. I've had my little pink Motorola Razr for two years, and it has served me well. But it was definitely time for an upgrade!
It was also very good timing that I got an iPhone because if I had not had it today I might have gone crazy with boredom while I was stranded at the dealership. Which brings us to the reason why I was three hours late to work this morning:
This isn't an actual picture of my flat tire. No, mine looked a lot worse. The tire, which has had at least two flat repairs since I bought the car a year ago, finally gave out and ripped right where the tire meets the rim. I've never had a flat tire before, nor have I been in a car that blew out a tire either. So, when my car started shaking violently, I didn't realize that it was a flat. I thought it was just the road (7th South is being repaved, by the by). Alas, I was wrong. So we hooked up the spare and drove two blocks to the dealership, where they had to order a tire (because mine are not standard, apparently) and have it delivered so that they could put it on. All in all, I didn't get to work until 4:30 today. So the 5 or so hours of OT I've done this week are going to end up only being two. That sucks, but what do you do?
Anyhow. So that was my Friday. Here's to hoping that Saturday and Sunday are better!
