The Week(s) in Review and the Week(s) Ahead

I've totally been slacking recently on the blogging situation, I know. I've tried to write several blogs, but have been restrained due to a strange bout of writers block. So, if the following doesn't make any sense, I'm very sorry. At least I'm trying, right? Right. =D

So. The last couple of weeks have been kind of unexciting. I changed to the night shift at work (not at my own choosing, but because I had to), Vinnie started a new job (which he loves), and we celebrated the 4th of July sans fireworks with the rest of the Albanians and a few bonus Russians. That's really all that has happened since the beginning of July...

In the weeks ahead a lot of things are going to be happening. First and foremost, our dear friends Besi and Byron Husted are leaving us. They are off to Albania for three weeks to have their Albanian wedding reception (about two years after they officially got married), then they are moving to Nebraska so that Byron can go to law school. So, when they leave on Wednesday for Albania, they'll be gone for at least a year :-( Our weekends will be very different for a while. Here's to you, you crazy kids!
On a happier note. My nephew Chris is going to be turning one year old in just a couple of weeks.
He is just the cutest little redheaded kid ever. We're having a party for him in the park the weekend before his birthday. It's going to be awesome.

Shortly after that party, the whole crew of Albanians will be loading up into a rental car and heading to Reno for Leard and Jessica's wedding. I don't think I have a picture of them together, randomly enough, but I have pictures of them separately. That will suffice for now ;-)

Jessica is awesome. I'll admit, it's nice to be older than someone for once ;-), and it's also a bonus that she's American and speaks only as much Albanian as I do. She's also a really tough chick. She met Leard at the gym, of all places. She's totally cool and I'm excited that they're getting married!
Leard is an awesome guy. Jessica and Leard are really cute together, and they are going to make an awesome married couple. It's too bad that they're going to have to live in Logan for two years while Jessica finishes her degree. Hopefully we'll still get to hang out!

The weekend after our trip to Reno will be my birthday. I think we'll probably be headed up to Bear Lake at some point to hang out with my parents and siblings on the boat. I hope that pans out, because I love Bear Lake in August. It is absolutely perfect.

So that's the outlook for now. I have a feeling there will be a lot of awesome pictures taken in the next month. I'm totally stoked. The summer may be half way over, but the remaining half is going to be awesome!
